Mission to Cupcake

Bye summer. It has been a summer of complete laziness and not much in the way of big new projects. I did receive word feedback from an editor who did not think my chapter book was compelling. This business is basically about feathers against a window in an effort to break it. I have been doing this long enough that, while I am sad, I do not let it stop me from continuing to make work.

Of late I have been working on a bunch of small projects. I updated my website with landscape/still life work as well as comics. I am also working on a series of illustrations involving kids hunting for desserts, as seen above. While I have set kids books aside its not out of my mind forever, but instead of throwing feathers at windows for awhile I think Im just going to draw them.
