Camping in the Desert

This commission was for a repeat client, which are my favorite especially when I get to commemerate a special moment in their lives. The couple will be welcoming a baby into the world and the husband wanted to get her wife a surprise. They have always identified with the illustration of the porcupine and cactus so in this they have anthropomorised as those characters. All the elements mean something to the couple and I was able to include their past and present dogs in the illustration (I have done portraits of both of them for past commissions). It was a fun illustration for great clients!
